The most common types of seals are found on RF (raised face) flanges with phonographic grooves and spiral wound gaskets, RTJ (ring joint) flanges with trapezoidal cross-sections and phonographic grooves, and flanges with O-ring seals or other types of annular gaskets. In each of the cases mentioned, the sealing seat can be refaced if it is not guaranteed.
